REQUESTING AND EMPLOYING COMBAT COMMUNICATIONS RESOURCES IN PEACETIME

AFI10-414, 1 August 1995, is supplemented as follows and applies to Air Force Space Command units who are requesting Combat Communications support of peacetime missions. This supplement does not apply to Air Force Reserve nor Air National Guard units.

3.3. Air Force Space Command field units will submit requests through their wing and respective Numbered Air Force (NAF) following checklist guidance appearing in AFI10-414, Attachment 2. The NAFs will forward the request to HQ AFSPC, Directorate of Communications-Computer Systems, Mission Systems Division (SCM), Peterson AFB, CO, 80914-4400 for validation. Message address is AFSPC PETERSON AFB CO//SCM//. In the event of natural disaster or other emergencies, the base communications staff officer (for AFSPC installations) or the senior communications officer/unit representative (for AFSPC tenant units), should contact HQ AFSPC/SCMA via telephone
(DSN 692-3943/2532 or commercial (719) 554-3943/2532) to verbally coordinate an emergency assistance request. If assistance is required after normal duty hours (0730-1630 MST), the communications officer/unit representative should contact the HQ AFSPC Command Center at DSN
692-5737/5758. Verbal requests must be followed up by a properly formatted written request within 48 hours or as soon as feasible.
