KEY PERSONNEL MONITORING

This instruction gives guidance for establishing policy, and assigns responsibilities for key personnel monitoring. It implements AFPD 10-2, Readiness, AFI 10-205, Availability of Major Command Commanders, and AFI10-205AFSPC1, Availability of Major Command Commanders. It applies to all Wing Command Post (WCP) crew personnel and all persons designated as "key personnel" by the 50th Space Wing Commander (50 SW/CC).

Updates organizational designations. Add primary members of 50 SW Battle Staff as key personnel (paragraph 1).

1. General Policy: Key personnel are those individuals who are directly responsible for the efficient operation of the 50 SW at Falcon Air Force Base, and the timely compliance of Air Force Satellite Control Network mission requirements. As a minimum, the personnel assigned to the 50 SW Battle Staff are considered key personnel. The following positions are designated as "key personnel":

50 SW/CV* 750 SG/CC**
50 OG/CC* 22 SOPS/CC
50 LG/CC* 50 SW/CP

2. Responsibilities:

2.1 Key personnel designed by asterisk above:

2.1.1. Report/update their status to the WCP immediately upon change of location. Use one of the following descriptions: "office", "mobile", "quarters", or "other". When reporting "other", give a short description of the location, including a telephone number (e.g., Peterson Air Force Base Officers' Club, 6-4181).

2.1.2. Appoint an alternate when on leave, TDY, or out of contact with the WCP for extended periods of time (longer than two hours). Immediately notify the WCP of the alternate's name, location, and telephone number. The alternate complies with the above reporting requirements until relieved, except that in most cases the alternate will not have access to a mobile phone.

2.2. Other key personnel, not designated by asterisk above, appoint an alternate when on leave or TDY. Notify the WCP of the alternate's name and telephone number.

2.3. The WCP maintains the location of key personnel.
