(U) This category addresses those airborne receivers and receiver components that utilize signals from NAVSTAR GPS satellites. Receiver initiatives described include the 3A Airborne Receiver, Embedded GPS Inertial (EGI) Navigation System, and the miniaturized Airborne GPS Receiver (MAGR) as well as its follow-on, MAGR-FO. A complementary initiative is the GPS Receiver Application Module (GRAM) which is a standard for a GPS receive card to be used by industry to develop standard DoD GPS receivers for airborne applications.
