(U) The high power ground based dish antenna, X-band system, originally designed to collect radar intelligence data is now under sponsorship of AFSPACECOM. The system, with an 88 foot diameter fully steerable antenna and Cassagrain feed, completed final testing at Vandenberg AFB in the summer of 1995. The system met or exceeded original key performance specifications. Additional modifications to enhance the system's utility for imaging in near real-time and deep space monitoring are now being accomplished.
