B. (U) BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF MISSION REQUIREMENT AND SYSTEM CAPABILITIES:
(U) This project funds technical and engineering resources required by Government Program Managers to
plan and conduct technology investigation programs within the Interceptor Technology Directorate.
Resources are used to perform analyses, develop innovative concepts in the particular technologies, plan
and implement major experiments, perform data reductions and analysis of experiment results, and perform
system engineering studies on interceptor technology concepts. Technical and engineering support is
provided to all phases of interceptor technology program design, development, and test, including systems
requirements/concepts definition, systems engineering and design, flight test planning and conduct, and
range and on-orbit operations.
(U) This project is assigned to the Budget Activity and Program Element codes as identified in this
descriptive summary in accordance with existing Department of Defense policy. Further justification of
the Budget Activity code assigned to each Program Element is contained within the Brief Description of
Element section of each Program Element Summary.
C. (U) PROGRAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND PLANS:
