Joint Pub No. 3-01 JOINT DOCTRINE FOR COUNTERING AIR AND MISSILE THREATS 19 October 1999
Fundamental guidelines for countering air and missile threats in support of joint operations. Addresses the fundamental concepts for countering air threats and missile threats originating from subsurface, surface, and airborne systems. It also provides fundamental principles and guidance for counterair operations, including command and control of offensive and defensive air defense operations.

Joint Pub No. 3-01.1 AEROSPACE DEFENSE OF NORTH AMERICA 4 November 1996
Doctrinal guidance for defense of North America against aerospace attack. It guides the implementation of US and Canadian strategic defense strategy through the integration of the various capabilities within the three mission areas of air defense, ballistic missile defense, and space defense. The focus is the defense of North America against aerospace threats through an appropriate and coordinated mix of capabilities, shared by US and Canadian forces, but detailed in this publication for integrated strategic defense forces.

JP 3-01.5, Doctrine for Joint Theater Missile Defense, 22 February 1996, PDF Format
Provides doctrine to counter the theater missile (TM) threat. Emphasis is placed on the growing missile threat from developing nations and the US ability to protect its vital interests against this threat. Joint theater missile defense for contingency, forward-deployed, and reinforcing forces and designated strategic assets located within a theater (e.g., civilian population, seats of government, industrial bases, sea and air facilities) is addressed. The focus is to protect against TM attack through an appropriate integrated and coordinated mix of mutually supporting measures.

JP 3-11 Joint Doctrine for Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical (NBC) Defense - 15 April 1994
Provides a discussion of the potential threat and threat doctrine that should be considered for the planning and conduct of joint nuclear, biological, and chemical (NBC) defense operations. This chapter also recaps the US national policy guidance and objectives for NBC defense that form the basis for NBC doctrinal precepts.

FY99 Air and Missile Defense Master Plan (AMDMP)
The FY99 AMDMP is the Air Defense Artillery branch modernization plan to execute the air and missile defense mission on the battlefields of the next century. It provides a common azimuth to focus air and missile defense modernization for the needs of Army XXI through the Army After Next. It also assures unity of purpose and a consistent Air Defense Artillery community approach to future modernization actions.

FY98 Air and Missile Defense Master Plan (AMDMP)
The FY98 Air and Missile Defense Master Plan (AMDMP) is the Air Defense Artillery [ADA] branch modernization plan to execute the air and missile defense mission on the battlefields of the next century. The AMDMP charts the course to the future for Air and Missile Defense (AMD) of Army XXI, Force 2010, and the Army After Next (AAN). The organizations responsible for AMD modernization jointly developed the AMDMP, which serves as the single, comprehensive source document for modernization.

FM 44-85 PATRIOT BATTALION AND BATTERY OPERATIONS
DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY, 21 February 1997 This field manual (FM) provides doctrinal how-to-fight guidance for the Patriot battalion and battery in support of force-projection operations. This FM is adaptable to any theater of operations. However, it focuses on contingency operations and Patriot's role in the projection of land and air combat power. Chapters address Patriot's role in the joint battle, the threat, air defense artillery (ADA) planning, force-projection operations, offensive and defensive operations, and combat service support.

FM 44-100, Army Air and Missile Defense Command Operations March 2000 - [also Feb 1998 PRELIMINARY DRAFT ]
This field manual (FM) is a doctrinal guide to AAMDC operations. It is intended for use by the AAMDC commander and his staff, as well as the commanders and staffs of Army, joint and multinational elements that interact with the AAMDC in the conduct of theater air and missile defense operations.

FM 44-100, Air Defense Operations- 15 June 1995
FM 44-100 is the capstone doctrinal manual for the air defense battlefield operating system. It explains the Army's contributions to joint and multinational counterair and theater missile defense operations. The proponent of this manual is the United States Army Air Defense Artillery School.

FM 44-100, Air And Missile Defense Operations 6 March 2000 - [also May 1999 PRELIMINARY DRAFT ]
FM 44-100 is the capstone doctrinal manual for the air and missile defense battlefield operating system. It explains the Army's contributions to joint and multinational counterair and theater missile defense operations. It also addresses the full range of offensive and defensive actions to counter the air threat.

FM 44-100-2, AIR DEFENSE ARTILLERY REFERENCE HANDBOOK March 2000
The purpose of this field manual is to familiarize personnel with ADA operations and weapon systems. This FM will be useful to personnel serving in staff positions in headquarters and activities requiring general knowledge of ADA systems and operations.

FM 100-12, Army Theater Missile Defense Operations [also Oct 1999 REVISED FINAL DRAFT]
This manual describes roles, responsibilities, requirements and functions for each of the operational elements of TMD. This manual also integrates lessons learned and insights derived from Theater Missile Defense Advanced Warfighting Experiments (AWE) conducted during Exercises Roving Sands 95,96 and 97. FM 100-12 addresses the threat, active defense, passive defense, attack operations and C4I. (First promised to be published 4th QTR FY 96)

NAVAL THEATER AIR & MISSILE DEFENSE CONCEPT
Naval Doctrine Command Theater Air & Missile Defense Concept Development Team September 26, 1997 - This Naval Theater Air & Missile Defense (TAMD) Concept describes the naval contributions to the joint TAMD system and its operations circa 2010. Although the focus is on "naval" operations and capabilities for dynamic defense in depth, the concept is joint.
