9.2.7 LEGACY SOFTWARE

Ensure that all computer systems used to manage the program (i.e. administrative management systems, cost and accounting systems) are free from software problems that may arise in the year 2000. Many legacy computer software systems were programmed to accept date stamps of the format "month-date-19XX" where "xx" is the year. In this case, a date entered as May-02-1996 is stored in the computer as 05-02-96. When the year 2000 rolls around, the software must be reprogrammed so that 05-02-00 means May-02-2000, not May 02-1900.

10.0 RFP CROSS REFERENCE MATRIX

The RFP Cross Reference Matrix (Figure L-2(4)) is intended to reduce internal RFP inconsistencies and aid in proposal preparation and evaluation. In the event of a conflict between this matrix and any other section of the RFP, the RFP section shall take precedence. The PCO and project officer are jointly responsible for completing columns 1, 2, 3, and 4 of the matrix and the Offeror is responsible for completing columns 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 and returning the matrix with your technical proposal volume.
