THE ANTENNA MAST GROUP (AMG) (LIN A80593/ASIOE) PROVIDES THE UHF ANTENNAS FOR THE CRG. COMPONENT MAJOR ITEMS (CMI) ARE: (1) A34870 (1 EACH) AIR CONDITIONER: 18000 BTU. (2) Q32689 (4 EACH) RAD SET: AN/GRC-103. (3) V30252 (2 EACH) TEL SET: TA-1. (4) V31211 (1 EACH) TEL SET: TA-312. B. CAPABILITIES: THE CRG IS A UHF MULTICHANNEL RELAY VAN THAT PROVIDES BEYOND LINE OF SIGHT CONNECTIVITY BETWEEN ELEMENTS OF THE PATRIOT BATTALION, WITH A NON-PATRIOT ELEMENT, AND ADJACENT PATRIOT BATTALIONS. THE CRG ALSO FUNCTIONS AS A VHF-FM RELAY STATION AND AS A REMOTE LAUNCHER CONTROL STATION. C. EMPLOYMENT: THE CRG PROVIDES THE PATRIOT BATTALION BEYOND-LINE-OF-SIGHT DEPLOYMENT BETWEEN THE INFORMATION AND COORDINATION CENTRAL (ICC) (LIN Z34852), ENGAGEMENT CONTROL STATION (ECS) (LIN Z97865), AND ADJACENT ADA BATTALIONS. D. BASIS OF ISSUE: FOUR PER HHB, ADA BN (PATRIOT) (SRC 44636) AS A 1:1 REPLACEMENT OF THE COMMUNICATIONS RELAY GROUP (CRG) (LIN C60363) IN BATTALIONS EQUIPPED WITH THE PAC-III LAUNCHING STATION (LIN Z41170). E. POWER REQUIREMENTS: POWER REQUIREMENT IS 25.0 KW. POWER IS PROVIDED BY TWO TRAILER-MOUNTED GENERATORS, PU-804 (LIN G35919/ASIOE). F. TRANSPORTATION REQUIREMENTS: THE CRG IS MOUNTED ON A 5-TON TRUCK (LIN X41105 BASE MODS TO LIN T61704 IAW BOIP T046AE/ASIOE) AND TOWS ONE OF THE TWO GENERATORS (LIN G35919/ASIOE).
