Mobile Approach Control System [MACS]

The Mobile Approach Control System [MACS] is needed to enhance combat forces by providing for the safe, orderly, expeditious launch and recovery of aircraft throughout delegated airspace in the United States as well as host nation assigned airspace throughout the world. To support wartime contingencies, the USAF must modernize its mobile radar capability and must provide interoperability with the FAA's and international ATC systems as well as air defense and satellite systems.
